What these numbers mean
  • Homes: households living here. From the 2021 Census, which Statistics Canada refreshes every five years (next count: 2026).
  • Resident snapshot (population, age mix, household size, own vs rent, families with kids, when the area was built): the City of Calgary's 2021 community profile, which redistributes the federal census to each community's boundary. Refreshes every five years.
  • Median income: midpoint household income, so half earn more and half less (2020 income year, 2021 Census).
  • Typical detached home: the benchmark price of a standard single-family house (CREB). It's the industry's "typical home," not any one listing. Updated monthly.
  • Housing mix: the share that are houses vs condos & townhomes. It explains the value: more condos pulls the all-in average down, which is why we show a typical detached house on its own.
  • Market: how fast homes sell and the year-over-year price trend (CREB).
  • Compared with Calgary: the "above / below Calgary" tags measure this community against the Calgary-wide median income and detached-home benchmark. "About" marks a rounded figure rather than an exact one.
