If she could choose a vision superpower, it would be automatic sunglasses. No squinting. Ever.

She trained at the University of Waterloo and has a special interest in dry eye and low-vision rehabilitation. And since she now lives in Alberta, dry eye isn’t exactly an obscure hobby. Her advice: if your eyes are achy, tired or mysteriously scratchy, don’t just keep blinking and hoping for the best.

Dr. Nadia almost became a chemistry researcher. Then she almost became a teacher. Instead, she found a job where she gets to do a little of both.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Nadia has recently discovered hiking, preferably involving mountains and a good pair of sunglasses. UV protection is non-negotiable.
