Michael Leung founded and owns The FLO Group, a Calgary-based accessibility product company. His founder story is rooted in lived experience: after major changes in his own vision, sound became more important in how he experienced daily life and connection.

His career path was not a straight technology-founder route. It moved through hospitality and real-estate investment before product development. What he brings is not clinical expertise. It is the perspective of a founder who ran into an accessibility problem himself and built a consumer product around it.

He runs the business from the field. FLO products go into community settings for founder-led live demonstrations, and in February 2026 the company scheduled a 21-event tour across nine Greater Toronto Area cities.
